The Edgar Allan Poet Doll

The "poe's-able" soft bodied doll is a tribute to Poe circa his Bowery days and was no doubt created by Anton Person under the odeurs of opium and whilst partaking of mass quantities of Absynthe. Another Brooklyn Born art piece, this wire jointed soft bodied doll stands 14-15" tall. This is a collectible display doll, and is not a toy. No two are exactly alike due to the individual hand-made nature of the doll. Materials can vary a little from doll to doll, but he wears a black coat with buttons, white high collar shirt and purple-grey ascot, a grey vest, and grey striped trousers. Head, hands and feet are cast in resin and tinted or painted to colour. Our Poet holds a white quill--you never know when inspiration may strike! ~ Full Image coming soon!

Each is hand made by the artists. Sold exclusively by The Headless Hearseman and Mad Geppetto $175.00 post-paid in the USA.

Also available as the "Edgar Allan Scare-Poe!" A tattered Poe propped up on a cross-beam among harvest pumpkins.

Items ship within two weeks:

Edgar Allan Poe-Pouri, anyone? Each is hand-made and signed.

Inside you will see Deadgar, lying in repose amidst Time's Dead Flowers.

The casket is sold with your choice of The Raven or Pluto the one eyed Black Cat. It also includes one bag of replenishing Poe-Pouri in the scent "Nevermore." New scents are being prepared, such as "Lost Lenore" and "The Strange Scent of M. Valdemar."

This features a 3" x 3" x 5.25" stained and lacquered wood casket with a screen top, filled with (Poe) Pot Pouri and a resin painted charicature of Poe! Each Poe-in-repose and your choice of Pluto head or Raven is individually hand cast and painted by Headless Fritz, who also signs each box!

One customer writes:
"Begrüßungen, meine unheimlichen Freunde! Deadgar arrived this afternoon, quite dead and morbid looking, rest assured! He now lays in state on our coffee table, and, thanks to the aroma of his wilted funeral bouquet, the whole room seems as though 'twere 'perfumed from an unseen censer.' We couldn't be happier!"

Allison says:
"It's the PERFECT Creepy Gift! It also gives men a chance to have and display something that smells neat without compromising their bachelor decor."

Poe Bookends circa the 1920's--When Headless Fritz purchased a single original bookend years ago, he never would have thought one day he would be able to mold it and make copies.
The bookends shown below are cast in resin from that original Art Nouveau/Art Deco specimen, and cost $70.00 for the pair. Each is hand finished, and they retain an antique quality to them. Orders take up to two weeks to fill. Bookends are finished in faux bronze and measure 6.5 inches wide, 5 inches tall and 2.5 inches deep. They ship via USPS Priority Mail Flat Rate.

"Smokin' Edgar the Opium Fiend" This incense tray is priced to fit all Poe Fan budgets at the price of $10.00. The "break" in the image shortens the actual length of the 13" for web-layout. We also have packets with 13 sticks of Opium incense to go with it for $3.00.
